Indulge in a menu that features innovative American cuisine, ranging from savory surf and turf to delightful vegetarian options. Pair your meal with a signature cocktail like the Skydome Spritz, which is crafted with riondo prosecco, elderflower and mint.

The intimate ambiance of the Skydome creates a romantic setting perfect for a candlelit dinner. Make sure to reserve your table in advance, especially for special occasions or weekends.

A Winter Day at Ford’s Theater: Breakfast in Bed and a Piece of History

I indulged in the perfect start to my second day with a delightful breakfast in bed. I savored crispy, golden waffles topped with fresh fruit and drizzled with syrup, accompanied by a rich caramel macchiato. The comfort and indulgence set the mood for an adventure steeped in history.

After breakfast I spent the day exploring the city. Unfortunately during my visit the partial government shut down had many museums and tours closed. Luckily one of my chosen stops Ford’s Theater was open. This historic site known for its significant role in American history as the location where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. During my walk to the theater I got to enjoy how the snow had transformed the city into a picturesque winter wonderland. Snow coated the streets and buildings in a soft white blanket, adding an extra magical touch to my visit.

The theater, with its charming architecture, stood as a reminder of a pivotal moment in American history. Stepping inside, I was greeted by exhibits that chronicled Lincoln’s life and legacy. Each display offered a glimpse into the world of the 1860s, providing context to the tragic events that unfolded here.

As I explored, I reflected on the night of April 14, 1865, when Lincoln, accompanied by his wife Mary, attended the play “Our American Cousin.” The ambiance of the theater was lively, filled with laughter unbeknownst to the audience, tragedy loomed just moments away. John Wilkes Booth’s fateful decision to pull the trigger not only ended Lincoln’s life but altered the trajectory of a nation.

Standing in the theater, I imagined the chaos and shock that ensued that night. The guides shared vivid accounts of the events, making me feel deeply connected to the past. The weight of history felt heaviest in those moments, as I thought about how such a singular act changed the fabric of our country forever.

Visiting the Petersen Boarding House

Following my time at the theater, I made my way to the Petersen Boarding House, where Lincoln took his final breaths. Just across the street from Ford’s Theater, the house maintains a somber atmosphere. As I entered, the interiors captured the simplicity of the era. The room where Lincoln died was both haunting and poignant, adorned with artifacts that told the story of his last moments.

The contrast of the cold, stark snow outside created a silent reminder of that fateful night, emphasizing the stark reality of such unthinkable loss. Standing in the very spot where history unfolded was a humbling experience that drew me even closer to the legacy of Lincoln.

A Day to Remember

As I left the boarding house, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. The beauty of the snow-covered city captured the essence of a winter day, yet the weight of history lingered heavily in my heart. My visit to Ford’s Theater and the boarding house was more than just a sightseeing trip; it was a deep dive into a narrative that shaped a nation.

To enhance your own Washington, DC weekend getaway, consider exploring the museums and going to the National Mall after dark for a stroll among the beautifully lit monuments. You could also spend your day on a bus tour or visiting local vineyards for a wine tasting or enjoying intimate conversations at a cozy café. If you’re interested in experiencing the arts scene, check out regional theater productions or live music shows for a bit of entertainment during your visit.

To conclude my busy day exploring I enjoyed a stop at a cafe for coffee and then had diner at the Hotel Lobby Bar. Returning to my room I warmed up with a bubble bath and caught up on my latest read. Winter is truly a beautiful time to relax and enjoy a weekend getaway!

This itinerary gave an escape that beautifully combined luxury, exploration, and special moments in the heart of Washington, DC. From sipping cocktails and dining with 360 views at the Skydome, to touring the city, and enjoying the cozy vibes of winter this Washington, DC weekend is sure to become a cherished memory!

Staycation Adventures: The Science Behind Enhancing Your Happiness with a Change in Routine

Did you know people feel happier when they introduce variety into their daily lives? Small changes, such as trying a new exercise program or even taking a different route to work, can lead to increased feelings of joy. In fact breaking out of monotonous patterns can help stimulate positive emotions and even improve overall well-being.

Changing daily routines, listening to different types of music, or altering routes taken can make a big difference in one’s overall mood. Furthermore research shows that spending money on experiences rather than material goods leads to longer-lasting happiness. Suggesting that experiences had can create memories that contribute to overall life satisfaction.

With this research in mind it’s easy to understand how a staycation or a vacation spent near home, offers numerous benefits that can enhance your well-being and without the stress and costs associated with traditional travel. Staycations encourage you to step out of your normal routines and rediscover your local area. You can explore attractions, parks, and restaurants that you may have overlooked and even gain a new appreciation for your community.

Without the constraints of a fixed itinerary, you can tailor your staycation to your preferences. This flexibility allows for a more relaxed pace, enabling you to enjoy leisurely activities like reading, cooking, or simply lounging at home. Furthermore, staycations provide an excellent opportunity to bond with family and friends. Engaging in shared activities and spending quality time together can strengthen relationships and create lasting memories.

Being a tourist in your own city or town can be a refreshing and enriching experience. Often, we overlook the treasures that lie right outside our front doors, focusing instead on distant destinations that seem more glamorous or exciting. This tendency can lead us to miss out on the unique charm and character of our local surroundings. When we think of travel, we often envision far-off places filled with exotic sights and experiences, but the reality is that our own communities are often brimming with hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

Taking the time to explore your local area can provide a much-needed escape from the daily grind. It allows you to step away from the routine of work, chores, and responsibilities, giving you the chance to unwind and recharge. By immersing yourself in your own city, you can experience a sense of adventure without the stress of long travel times or complicated itineraries. Taking a leisurely stroll through a nearby park, visiting a local museum, or dining at a restaurant you’ve never tried can bring a sense of novelty and excitement to your life.

Additionally, being a tourist in your own city encourages you to slow down and savor the moment. Instead of rushing through life, you can take the time to notice the details like the architecture of a historic building, the vibrant colors of street art, or the aroma of freshly baked goods wafting from a local bakery. These experiences can enhance your overall well-being, providing a sense of joy and fulfillment that often gets lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Rediscovering Local Gems

One of the most significant advantages of being a tourist in your own city is the opportunity to rediscover local attractions that you may have taken for granted. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the rich tapestry of experiences available right outside your door. Museums, parks, historical sites, and art galleries often fade into the background as we rush from one obligation to another. However, by intentionally setting aside time to explore these places, you can unlock a treasure trove of cultural and historical significance that enriches your understanding of your community.

Imagine wandering through a local museum that showcases the history of your town. You might stumble upon exhibits that tell the stories of the people who shaped your community, revealing fascinating details that you never knew existed. This exploration can spark a sense of curiosity and pride, as you learn about the unique events and individuals that have contributed to your city’s identity.

Parks, too, offer a refreshing escape from the daily grind. They provide not only a space for relaxation but also opportunities for recreation and connection with nature. A leisurely walk along a scenic trail, a picnic with friends, or simply enjoying the beauty of a blooming garden, parks can rejuvenate your spirit and provide a much-needed break from the chaos of everyday life.

Historical sites often hold stories that resonate deeply with the community. Visiting these landmarks can transport you back in time, allowing you to visualize the past and understand how it has shaped the present. You might find yourself standing in front of a building that has witnessed generations of change, or exploring a battlefield that tells tales of bravery and sacrifice. These experiences can foster a sense of continuity and belonging, reminding you that you are part of a larger narrative.

Art galleries and local exhibitions showcase the creativity and talent of your community. By attending openings or art walks, you can engage with local artists and their work, gaining insight into their inspirations and processes. This interaction can deepen your appreciation for the arts and encourage you to support local talent. You may even discover a new favorite artist or piece that resonates with you on a personal level.

Immersing yourself in cultural experiences through local events, festivals, or performances can be incredibly rewarding. These gatherings often celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of your community, offering a chance to connect with others who share your interests. From food festivals that tantalize your taste buds to music events that get your feet tapping, these experiences can create lasting memories and foster a sense of camaraderie among residents.

In essence, taking the time to explore local attractions allows you to see your city through fresh eyes. It transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, revealing the beauty and richness of your surroundings. By engaging with the cultural fabric of your community, you not only enhance your own life but also contribute to the vibrancy of the place you call home. Rediscovering these local treasures can be a delightful adventure, reminding you that there is always something new to learn and experience, even in familiar spaces.

A Relaxing Getaway

Booking a hotel or bed and breakfast in your own town can transform a simple day trip into a mini-vacation that feels both refreshing and indulgent. Staying overnight allows you to experience your city from a different perspective, as the ambiance of a hotel or cozy B&B creates a sense of escape, even if you’re just a few miles from home. The moment you check in, you can feel the weight of daily responsibilities begin to lift, replaced by the excitement of a new adventure right in your own backyard.

Without the distractions and obligations of home, you can truly relax and enjoy your surroundings. Imagine waking up in a charming B&B, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, and a delicious homemade breakfast awaits you. This leisurely start to the day sets the tone for a more relaxed exploration of your city. You can take your time, savoring each moment without the pressure of a packed schedule.

As you venture out, you might find yourself wandering through familiar streets with a newfound sense of curiosity. The sights and sounds of your city take on a different quality when you’re in a vacation mindset. You may discover quaint shops, hidden cafes, or local art installations that you’ve never noticed before. This change of scenery can invigorate your spirit, providing a much-needed break from the routine and allowing you to reconnect with the essence of your community.

Staying at a hotel or B&B also offers the chance to indulge in amenities that you might not typically enjoy at home. Perhaps there’s a spa where you can treat yourself to a massage, or a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city skyline. You might find a cozy lounge area where you can curl up with a good book or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. These little luxuries can enhance your experience, making your stay feel special and memorable.

Additionally, the opportunity to meet fellow travelers or locals at your accommodation can add an extra layer of enjoyment to your getaway. Sharing stories and recommendations with others can lead to unexpected friendships and insights about your city that you might not have discovered on your own. Engaging with the staff can also provide insider tips on the best local attractions, dining spots, or hidden gems that are off the beaten path.

As the day winds down, returning to your hotel or B&B can feel like coming home, but with the added charm of being away. You can unwind in a comfortable setting, reflecting on the day’s adventures and planning for tomorrow’s explorations. This sense of retreat allows you to recharge, making the experience feel like a true getaway, even if you’re just a short distance from home.

Booking a hotel or bed and breakfast in your own town transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. It allows you to break free from the monotony of daily life, providing a unique opportunity to explore your surroundings with fresh eyes. By embracing this mini-vacation, you not only create lasting memories but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for the beauty and vibrancy of your own community.

Engaging with local businesses and attractions supports the economy and helps you feel more integrated into the fabric of your town. Interacting with locals at a café or a community event, can lead to new friendships and connections, enriching your experience. By choosing to stay local, you contribute to the sustainability of small businesses, which are often the heart of a community.

Affordable Adventure

Exploring your own city can also be a budget-friendly option compared to distant vacations. Many hotels and B&Bs offer special rates for locals or packages that include meals or activities, making it easier to enjoy a getaway without breaking the bank. You can also often take advantage of free or low-cost attractions, such as parks, walking tours, or community events, allowing you to create memorable experiences without the financial stress often associated with travel.

Creating Lasting Memories

Ultimately, being a tourist in your own city can lead to lasting memories that you can cherish for years to come. Capturing these experiences through photos or journaling can help document your local adventures, while inviting friends and family to join you can deepen relationships and create shared memories.

Being a tourist in your own city or town is not just about sightseeing; it’s about reconnecting with your surroundings, supporting local businesses, and taking a break from the routine. So, the next time you feel the urge to escape, consider looking no further than your own backyard. You might just find that the best adventures are the ones waiting right at home. Changing your routine and opting for a staycation can lead to increased happiness and well-being. By embracing variety in your daily life and taking time to enjoy your local surroundings, you can honestly enhance your overall quality of life.

The Gift of an Experience: A Lasting Adventure Over Material Goods

When contemplating the act of gift-giving, we often find ourselves at a crossroads between choosing the latest gadget or opting for something more heartfelt and meaningful. In recent years, the trend of gifting experiences has gained significant traction, shedding light on a transformative shift in how we perceive value, connection, and fulfillment in our relationships. Choosing an experiential gift over a material one brings untold benefits, creating lasting memories that will not only enrich lives but also foster deeper connections and support personal growth.

Experiences create lasting memories, serving as treasured moments that resonate well beyond their initial occurrence. Unlike physical gifts that may eventually lose their allure or become obsolete, experiences such as travel adventures, concert outings, or even cooking classes manifest into stories that we cherish and reflect upon for years to come.

Imagine bonding over an experience; the laughter shared, and the joy experienced together all coalesce into tales that you’ll find yourself recounting for years. In contrast, a shiny new gadget or a trendy piece of clothing often ends up being neglected, relegated to a shelf or drawer, becoming obsolete with the relentless march of technology and fashion trends. Over time, these once-coveted items fade from memory, while shared experiences remain vivid, often serving as a touchstone in relationships that continue to grow.

Gifting an experience often involves sharing that experience with someone special, which is a powerful way to deepen relationships and foster connection. Activities like attending a concert, taking a pottery class, or going on a hiking adventure enrich your bond through shared moments. This time spent together facilitates deeper conversations, laughter, and vulnerabilities, which simply aren’t possible when exchanging physical items.

For instance, surprising your partner with tickets to see their favorite band not only signifies thoughtfulness but also offers a unique opportunity to create joyful memories together. These moments become entwined in the fabric of your relationship, strengthening your connection and creating a sense of intimacy that physical gifts rarely achieve.

A Magical Experience: ICE! at the Gaylord National

One fantastic experiential gift to consider is ICE! at the Gaylord National, which transforms the hotel into a stunning winter wonderland every holiday season. This remarkable event features breathtaking ice sculptures and themed displays, often telling heartwarming holiday stories. Crafted from over two million pounds of ice, guests can marvel at the intricate craftsmanship while enjoying various festive activities.

Visiting ICE! is not just about the art; it’s also about creating unforgettable memories with those you cherish. Imagine sharing laughter, sipping hot cocoa, and exploring the enchanting icy realms together. This experience seamlessly ties into the idea of giving a gift that lasts far longer than any physical item. It becomes a cherished story, a magical moment that you and your loved ones will remember for years to come.

Contributing to Personal Growth and Well-Being

In addition to enhancing relationships, experiences often contribute positively to personal growth and well-being. They not only introduce us to new hobbies and interests but also present us with challenges that encourage us to step outside our comfort zones.

For example, a weekend spent at an art retreat can ignite your creativity, while a cooking class can inspire healthy habits and culinary experimentation. This exploration and learning can lead to discoveries about ourselves that a physical item simply cannot provide. Research indicates that the anticipation of an upcoming adventure often leads to feelings of happiness and excitement, far surpassing the fleeting pleasure one derives from unwrapping a new gadget. The joy experienced during and after these adventures frequently lasts longer than the gratification derived from receiving a material item, effectively infusing our lives with joy and fulfillment.

The choice to gift experiences is aligned with a growing awareness of sustainability and minimalism as more individuals recognize the need to shift away from excessive consumerism. In our increasingly cluttered world, where space is at a premium and mindfulness is valued, gifting experiences offers a way to reduce physical clutter. Rather than adding another unnecessary item to a collection of possessions that may never be used, providing a chance to share an adventure, learn something new, or explore different cultures becomes an investment in a moment that genuinely enriches someone’s life. This thoughtful approach is particularly resonant in our current societal climate, where many are making deliberate choices to focus on the quality of experiences rather than the quantity of possessions, embracing a more meaningful and fulfilling lifestyle.

Additionally, the practicality of experiential gifts cannot be overstated. They can be tailored to fit any budget or preference, making them accessible to everyone. From local options such as dining at a newly opened restaurant to more extravagant outings like traveling to a distant country, the world of experiential gifts is as diverse as our interests and passions. Understanding the recipient’s preferences allows you to select something that will resonate on a personal level while also emphasizing the thought and care behind the gift. For those concerned about the logistics of planning an experience, purchasing gift cards for experience-based activities can provide loved ones with the flexibility to choose when they wish to redeem their adventure. This not only empowers the recipient but also ensures that the gift is rooted

Ultimately, the next time you’re faced with the decision of what gift to offer, consider venturing beyond the material realm. The gift of an experience transcends mere physical possessions, creating a tapestry of lasting memories, fostering deeper relationships, promoting personal growth, and aligning with the values of sustainability and mindfulness. In a world increasingly filled with distractions and noise, providing someone the opportunity to create immeasurable memories through shared adventures is a gift they will cherish and celebrate for years to come. The moments spent together become timeless treasures, redefining our understanding of what it means to give and receive gifts, and it’s difficult to ignore the undeniable appeal of offering someone the chance to unwrap the beauty of life through new experiences.

Exploring the Charm of Fall in West Virginia

Sponsored| Visiting West Virginia in the fall is like stepping into a vibrant postcard, complete with stunning landscapes, delectable eats, and a touch of luxury. The quaint town of Romney and the wooded trails of Augusta offer a perfect blend of nature, culture, and comfort, making it an ideal getaway for travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation.

Fall Foliage on the Potomac Eagle Train Ride

One of the most breathtaking highlights of my visit to West Virginia was taking a ride on the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in Romney. This historic train journey takes you through the heart of the West Virginia countryside, with the fall foliage transforming the landscape into a stunning tapestry of oranges, reds, and yellows.

As you board the train, the ambiance is set with vintage charm and comfortable seating. The ride meanders along rural countryside, mountains and waterways, offering panoramic views that are simply unmatched. The experience is enhanced by the sounds of the train gently chugging along the tracks and the rustling of leaves in the autumn breeze. Each bend reveals new vistas, and the majestic scenery will undoubtedly leave you in awe. Wildlife enthusiasts will love this adventure as eagles soared overhead of the train by the water, adding to the magic of the moment.

A Foodie Experience to Remember

Dining offered on the Potomac Eagle transforms the train journey into a gourmet adventure, where exquisite flavors accompany stunning views. Passengers can choose to be treated to chef-prepared meals, served right at their seats, making it an intimate and enjoyable experience.

Throughout the ride, the combination of natural scenery and historical narration enhances the journey, offering insights into the rich stories of the region. This immersive experience allows diners to not only savor their meals but also appreciate their surroundings.

In the Club, Superior, and Premium Dining classes, guests can enjoy a variety of menu options. Some of the choices when I visited in the Superior Dining Car were appetizers of shrimp cocktails and savory beef Wellington puff pastries, along with fresh salads and delectable entrees, including Chilean sea bass with lemon and garlic butter. Desserts ranged from indulgent chocolate torte to refreshing lemon mascarpone cake.

To complement the dining experience, beer and wine were available for purchase, enhancing the flavors of the carefully crafted menu. If diners wish to stretch their legs or get some fresh air, the observatory cars invited exploration, allowing for a more dynamic experience throughout the journey. This delightful combination of exceptional food, amazing waitstaff (like my server Mary), scenic views, and engaging storytelling makes dining on the Potomac Eagle a memorable foodie experience.

The Inn at Meander- Visit Virginia Wine Country

History meets southern hospitality at this Virginia Wine Country Inn. In this blog I’m sharing three of the many reasons you need to book a stay at the Inn at Meander. So grab a glass of wine or cider and come find out what makes this rustic Inn in Locust Dale, Virginia so special.

In April 2023 I was lucky enough to stay at The Inn at Meander which is composed of 12 cottages and guest rooms. During my stay I stayed in the Shearer Suite a tribute to former owners, the Shearer sisters. This room has a beautiful spacious balcony overlooking the patio and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

History of The Inn at Meander

Take a tour of the Inn at Meander

Circa 1766 this tavern and Inn merge the perfect mix of history and hospitality. The Inn at Meander’s history links it to several famous visitor’s including Thomas Jefferson and General Lafayette. The building is full of history and maintains a historic design with creaking hardwood floors, vintage fixtures and period colors.

In the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains the property comprises 80 acres. The Inn at Meander, has multiple trails for exploring, gardens, and natural beauty to take in satisfying both the adventurous and those seeking peace and quiet. The trail to the river is especially beautiful and ends with a bench overlooking the water.

Inn at Meander Virginia Wine Country

In addition, The Inn at Meander has a large game room complete with a pool table. This is one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen to play billiards in. It was lovely to have dinner and retire to the fireplace in the parlor, have a couple of beers and then play a few games.

Dining and Hospitality at The Inn at Meander

One of the many perks of staying at the Inn at Meander is being able to have your food brought to your room or having a picnic on the grounds. On my spacious balcony overlooking the garden patio and the beautiful Virginia mountains set the perfect picturesque setting for a memorable dinner. The food was delicious and the views and ambiance unmatched.

Imagine drinking chilled sparkling wine from a local vineyard and taking in the sounds of the crickets and sheep mewing from a nearby farm. As you watch the evening grow darker and put all cares aside. Soaking in the moment with the one you love or in your own peaceful solitude. These are the type of memories and moments that the Inn at Meander gives.

Horton Wine Inn at Meander Virginia Wine Country
Soaking in the views and the moment with Horton Wine at the Inn at Meander

The dinner menu by Chef Jenae Jenkins has a great variety and can be purchased as a 3 Course Dinner option or a la cart. During my stay the first course incuded a spring mix salad: cucumbers, feta, sunflower seeds, and basalmic vinaigrette, the second course salmon with spring greens sauce, basmati rice pilaf and roasted asparagus and for the third course the chocolate lava cake with whipped cream. The portion size of food was very large and everything was very flavorful and delicious.

The dining room of the Crooked Run Tavern is intimate and inviting. I enjoyed the special touch of fresh flowers on the tables. The fireplace made the room look and feel cozy. I couldn’t think of a better way to end a Virginia wine country day than a relaxing meal at the Crooked Run Tavern. Even if you’re not staying at The Inn at Meander and in the area you should make a reservation and check them out.

Breakfast which is included with your stay was amazing with beautiful mountain views from dining on the patio. The breakfast menu includes so many breakfast favorites including French toast and omelets. Everything is fresh and made to order. On the weekends brunch is served in the Crooked Run Tavern past the normal week breakfast time. Weekend brunch is also, open to the public with reservations.

Proximity to Virginia Wine Country

Nearby The Inn at Meander is a variety of award winning wineries to visit including Barboursville in Orange, Virginia. The ruins of the once magnificent home of James Barbour, Virginia’s 18th governors still stands today to be marveled at. The house was designed by Thomas Jefferson and built in 1814. Sadly it burned on Christmas Day 1884 leaving only ruins.

On top of seeing the ruins at Barboursville its vineyards and winery are beautiful as well. My interest was peaked to this location because I had tried the Barboursville Prosecco at The Inn at Meander during dinner and then decided to visit the Barboursville winery. A charcuterie in the 1812 Library and a glass of Pino Grigio at Barboursville made for a lovely lunch overlooking their vineyard.

The dessert wine Philéo was also a refreshing choice and I enjoyed how light this wine was. You’ll want to pick up a bottle or two of wine to take back with you. The staff at The Inn at Meander can even provide an ice bucket for you to chill your wine in your room to enjoy. In addition to brining your own The Inn at Meander has a large list of local wine for purchase.

Besides it’s close proximity to Virginia wineries and breweries The Inn at Meander is near the famous Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park and Montpelier; home of our 4th President James Madison and, “Father of the Constitution”. The grounds, gardens and museum at Montpelier are worth visiting and a true national treasure.

There was so much to explore on the ground of Montpellier including a guided tour of the house. If you enjoy your visit you can also, become a member and come back for return tours. Membership includes free daily tours, discounts and special member activities as well. The membership is well worth the price in my opinion and helps preserve President James Madison and Dolley’s home for future generations.

Inn at Meander Virginia Wine Country

All these choices can be overwhelming, but, The Inn at Meander can assist with your activities during your stay. You can inquire more about these special packages when you make your booking. Visits to local wineries, Montpellier, Inn picnics, dinners and more can be prearranged for you. I would highly recommend having dinner in your room at The Inn at Meander or a picnic on the grounds during your stay.

Why Stay at The Inn at Meander?

Inn at Meander Virginia Wine Country

The true gems of The Inn at Meander are the staff I met including Chef Jenean, Rhonda, Susan, Karen and Aaron. These individuals go above and beyond their duties and I watched them make everyone have the best experience possible at The Inn at Meander. In addition if you are planning a special event or looking for a venue to get married you should definitely check out Meander. While at The Inn at Meander, I saw both a lovely wedding and a bridal luncheon take place complete with special table settings.

Staying at The Inn at Meander, truly is a relaxing and calming experience. Making memories and having experiences is what this beautiful Inn is about. The Inn at Meander, reminds visitors to be in the moment and enjoy what they are partaking in. The worries of the outside world truly disappear in these #meandermoments if you let them. The history, hospitality and the close proximity to Virginia Wine Country with all it has to offer makes The Inn at Meander a unique and memorable destination.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog on The Inn at Meander. Please send this blog post to anyone you know planning a trip to Virginia Wine Country and be sure to pin it to your vacation board.
