Hi, I’m Krystle, aka “The Virginia Hype Girl”. Welcome to Take a Walk in My Flip Flops! I’m a lifelong Virginian sharing travel inspiration, foodie finds, and those off-the-beaten-path places that only the locals seem to know about, both in my home state and beyond. As a proud small-town resident, I enjoy promoting tourism while shining a spotlight on the local restaurants, small businesses, makers, and brands that make our communities so special.
I love Virginia, and I’ve made it my mission to spotlight the state’s rich history, picturesque landscapes, charming small towns, beautiful beaches, and the people who make it all so special. I’ve had the honor of representing Virginia as Miss Virginia, National American Miss 2006, and Miss Beautiful International Model 2007, where I promoted my platform of volunteerism. Those experiences helped shape my love for connecting with people, giving back, and celebrating the communities I call home.
