Sometimes we have to have faith and keep going even if we don’t know where we are going. I think of everything that happened in the past year and I know without my faith I wouldn’t have been able to keep going. Reflecting on the past year makes me feel at peace knowing I made the best out of a bad situation.
Like everyone I remember starting 2020 with goals and plans for the new year. 🎉Work was going great and I was about to board a cruise when changes really started to gain momentum in the news. Soon after returning home masks were made mandatory and became scarce. Fourteen years of building myself as a respected brand ambassador in experiential marketing and I was suddenly, “nonessential”. All festivals, fairs and in person events became nonexistent overnight.
Making the best of things I knew how to sew and quickly went out and purchased all the fabric I could get my hands. I made myself busy to sew for anyone I knew that needed masks, donating them as fast as I could make them. All the goals of last year couldn’t be met, but I found new ways to serve and flourish. Making masks, volunteering and lending an ear to those that needed it was a blessing to me as much as it was to others.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I pray y’all reading continue to stay safe. I hope the past year taught people to slow down, to appreciate the little things and that kindness matters💕 Take time to reflect: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫?
